DIRECTIONS TO LA BANDA HOSTEL IN SEVILLA
- There are 2 exits out of Plaza de Armas bus station. One exit leads down some concrete steps, the other exit leads down a long ramp.
- Take the exit that leads down the steps. You need to walk in a straight line down Calle Arjona, in the direction of the Plaza del toros for about 15 minutes.
- You will immediately cross a street named Puente Cristo de la Expiracion on your right that leads to a bridge going over the river.
- Walk straight, crossing over the road, but not turning right.
- Keep walking straight, you will walk for about 5 minutes down a Calle Arjona with local shops on either side and high modern apartments above.
- Keep walking straight.
- You will reach a large intersection/cross roads with another bridge that heads right over the river (Puente de Isabel II).
- Shortly after the bridge you will a section of river on your right hand side that is lined with tall palm trees.
- Keep walking straight, crossing the intersection and walking past the palm trees.
- After this you will walk past a small kiosk bar that overlooks the river.
- Keep walking straight.
- Then you will walk past a small petrol station on the side of the road, just keep walking straight.
- On the other side of the road you will soon walk past the Plaza de Toros (the bull ring). It is a big yellow and white circular building, with a statue of a dude on a horse outside.
- Immediately after that you will see a striped (zebra) crossing that goes over the road.
- Cross over and keep walking straight (but now on the other side of the road).
- You will immediately cross a street called ¨Antonio Diaz¨, then 2 minutes later you will cross another street called ¨Real de la Carretería¨
- Keep walking straight.
- The next street on the left is Calle Dos de Mayo.
- We are number 16, half way down on the right!
- Look out for a coloured La Banda Tile right next to some garage doors, we are kinda clandestine!
- Ring the doorbell to come in!
- There are 2 exits out of the Prado bus station.
- You need to take the exit that leads directly out of the part of the station where all of the buses park. Don´t take the exit that leads out of the indoor tickets office area.
- The exit leads goes through an archway and out on to Avenida Carlos V, a busy main road with lots of bus stops for local buses and a tramline for the city tram.
- Turn right, and follow the route that the tramlines go in.+
- You will soon reach a large roundabout with a fountain in the middle.
- Just keep following the tramlines. They cross directly over the roundabout and continue forward onto a pedestrianized wide walkway called Calle San Fernando.
- You will walk past the university on your left (a beautiful old building).
- Just keep following the tramlines, they will curve round to the right, going past a large fountain onto Avenida de la Constitucion.
- You will go past a large glass tram stop which is just before the Cathedral (the massive building that looks like a big gothic church).
- Once you have walked past the tram stop, take the first left onto Calle Almirantazgo, directly in line with the edge of the cathedral.
- Walk down through the archway.
- Continue straight onto Calle Dos de Mayo
- We are number 16, half way down on the right!
- Look out for a coloured La Banda Tile right next to some garage doors, we are kinda clandestine!
- Ring the doorbell to come in!
- Walk in a straight line across the car park for 100m until you reach the main road that runs parallel with the station entrance.
- There is a glass bus shelter, where the number 21 bus leaves from every 15 minutes.
- Get on the number 21 bus, and you need to get off at the stop called ¨Paseo Colon/Torre del Oro¨.
- You will know you have reached the Paseo Colon stop when you see the river, and large round old tower called La Torre de Oro, it looks like a small turret from a castle, with palm trees along the edge of the river.
- Get off the bus and continue walking along the street in the same direction that the bus was going in.
- Walk straight and take the 3rdturning on the right. It is a street called Calle Dos de Mayo.
- We are number 16, located half way down the street on the left hand side. You will see two large garage doors, and a brightly coloured La Banda Tile by the door. It is just after a restaurant called La Bulla.
- Just ring the door bell to come in!!!
- There is only one bus from the airport. It is called EA. You leave the airport exit, and you will find the stop just outside on the left hand side.
- You need to get off the bus at the stop called ¨Paseo Colon¨ the journey takes about 35 minutes.
- There should be a screen announcing the stop names, but if you have any doubts just ask the driver.
- You will know you have reached the Paseo Colon stop when you see the river, and large round old tower called La Torre de Oro, it looks like a small turret from a castle, with palm trees along the edge of the river.
